Thought I would attempt to keep up upon your person. You seem to be doing the observational practice you commonly choose to use. Have you come to any conclusions as of yet?

That depends on the which observations you are asking for. I have been keeping track of the network, and I have been attempting to keep track of the gods. The latter is not going well, but the former is simply showing what I am growing to suspect is common among us travelers.

They are easier to directly speak to than follow. I find they can be next to impossible to actively follow, but at times they will reply to messages.

What do you think of our situation here?

I had a conversation with one of them, Loki I believe, after the dream event took place. I was... displeased to say the least, and may have come off as insensitive in my suggestions. To be fair, I am not exactly willing to be civil with those who would use us as pawns in their games.

That aside, while I am uncomfortable with having to shirk my duties at home due to the circumstances, the surroundings are pleasant and I did miss being in the presence of certain parties who were no longer alive on the meteor.

I admit, my perspective is colored more because this place permits me a second lease on life. It's easier to be forgiving, though some of their antics are beyond irritating, particularly the needless cuteness that seems to permute the whole affair.

Needless cuteness? I cannot say I found most of the occurrences here cute, aside from maybe the eggs, had I bothered to collect any. Were there other so-called "cute" events?

Ah, of course. That makes perfect sense.

And yes, the eggs are the latest example. There are also the boots that were sent to me in the most foolish of construction after a competition deciding between solutions to the freezing problems. I have heard stories of a hugging competition long ago... It varies.

A hugging competition? That's... How on Alternia could anyone possibly win a hugging competition?

That aside, what you are essentially trying to communicate to me is that Asgard regularly alternates between grim and pleasant for what is essentially a rather open corral.

Apparently, a lot of hugs, the most hugs and the most huggers, along with the longest hugs. That sort of foolishness.

So, yes. It goes from the grim and horrifically morbid, to war to puppies and kittens we're supposed to pet for the emotions. I prefer fighting.

Well. That's something, I suppose. Though what it is, I cannot rightly say.

I suppose that dealing with my own feelings when it comes to certain tender things, puppies and kittens and so on, is not something I would be inclined to do for the amusement of others. I have not been privy to any fighting here, however. Murder aside.

The murders...

Yes, those have been an unquestionable issue. However, they appear to be singular in nature. The conflict and strife itself will be back soon enough most likely.

I cannot say that the idea of conflict and strife does not worry me, but I suppose that the game and our lives previous to this have more than prepared us to mentally and physically deal with the reality of conflict.

I am not looking forward to it, still.

You were never the most violent of our number. Capable when called, but you carry too much matronly tendencies. Admittedly, it's to be expected I would imagine, given your bloodline and role.

Regardless, there are logistical options available if you're willing to help there.

Oh. No no, you mistake me. I am not worried for myself or for anything I will need to do. I may have chosen a path in life less filled with needless violence and betrayals, but that does not mean that I am unaware of them or unwilling to deal with them. I was close friends with Vriska and Eridan once upon a time.

Very well. I would not question your capacities. I simply have little experience in actually seeing you fight. However, you are correct. There are an alarming number of unprepared non-combatants. Regardless, we and they have options.

Mostly it is a messy and carnage-ridden affair due to the Kind Abstratus allocated to my Strife Specibus. I've since become accustomed to it though.

Still, I would not mind helping said non-combatants, regardless of my opinions of the gods.

You do have a certain point. Your Specibus was not exactly designed for its subtlety when it was fully active, was it? I don't even know that I actually ever saw you utilize it, though I seem to recall seeing it once or twice.

Perhaps, though, defending them would be a suitable use of your talents? You seem to be leaning that direction.

No, it isn't It's still rather convenient though. The mass of most Kind Abstratuses is inconvenient. Mines folds in on itself, so it's easy to store despite the weight.

Possibly. I feel that here I would mostly be defending them from these gods and each other, and while I do not doubt my ability to do the letter, I feel I would be ineffective in doing the former.

Outside of their curses, there is little to defend, at least for now. There has been increased difficulties with one of their rank going insane. However, that seems to be more of a temporary concern. Regardless, as you imply, it is not exactly a simple matter to defend against something that qualifies as a god mode.

But, do not allow your confidence to flag, Kanaya. It is unseemly.
